If you're reading this then you'll no doubt be like me, a part of middle England, trying to work to make ends meet whilst slaving away to gain a degree that might make as much difference in the world of employment as whipping out my testicles to a prospective boss. In short, I am going to announce that yes, we are all royally screwed. Let me explain where I'm coming from.
I study Journalism, a fact that you will know by either knowing me personally or reading about it in the "about me section" of this very blog. In the world of Journalism it is very competitive, so much so it has been known for people to work for NOTHING when coming out of Uni for over a year JUST to get their feet on the career ladder. And that's all well and good, but I don't agree with it for just one reason. These people are classed as "employed" and therefore aren't entitled to any benefits in order to help them get through life. They therefore have to live off of loans, parents, and second or even third jobs to cover themselves. All while some people pop out children faster than a pez machine in order to get another £15 a week expenses. Afterall, White Lightning is becoming expensive these days!
Britain is slowly reverting to a state of "unvolution", a term that I coined which represents our country perfectly. In essence, it represents the piss poor ethics of modern Britain; how the lazy and genetically failed population are given stature over those who are desperate to do nothing but work industriously and give back to this once magnificent country. There are two kinds of people, of course, and I am referring to the people who if we suddenly found ourselves in a new Ice Age (and had to forage off of moss and animals whom we had once domesticated) would simply start pissing into the snow so no-one could go near it. And then would promptly start eating it. Strange how these people are suddenly becoming the blessed ones of Britain.
Sure, some of these people are better off on the state income as they would simply die if they had to go outside and, well, EXIST. They simply cannot function in society, and you know where they should be? Norfolk. Check, it's quite empty up there. Put them in a convent, tell them it's Big Brother and they'll have a whale of a time. But should we be paying for those who refuse to work and contribute, all the while honest to God people are literally starving to be good society members?
Well, there is a solution. Apart from the Norfolk thing, obviously. If everyone refuses to work, our economy goes up shit creek and then the Government will have to accept that not everyone is equal abandon the current welfare system. Sorted.
